Get Flashed Ombre' Inlay Meteorite Display Piece

An ordinary meteorite, transformed into anything but ordinary.

This one-of-a-kind 24.14g display piece began as a rough, unclassified ordinary chondrite that I selected in Tucson specifically for a project like this. I cut the meteorite, carefully carved the inlay pattern, set each tiny stone, and finished the piece with a fine polish on the flat lap.

The inlay follows a gradual ombré transition from blue labradorite, through Australian opal, into pink confetti sunstone, creating a beautiful progression of flashy color across the face of the meteorite.

What makes this piece especially fun to me is that the meteorite itself turned out to be surprisingly beautiful once it was cut and polished. The finished result combines the natural character of a meteorite with the color and sparkle of carefully selected stones inlayed.

This is a completely unique, handmade piece—there will never be another one exactly like it.
