This is easily one of my favorite stones from this cutting session. At first glance, it displays a subtle, sophisticated light grey body, but move it around and allow the light to dance off of it and it completely transforms. Heavy micro-crystalline quartz inclusions gives the entire surface a chatoyancy sheen, scattering light into rainbows across translucent cell windows.
I take the extra time to stabilize all my bone with Cactus Juice before they hit the wheels. This ensures the stone won't fracture and allows both the front and back to achieve a mirror shine. It’s cut into a classic, double-sided oval that feels balanced in the hand.
A nice elongated oval shape with a high-mirror polish, fully reversible (double-sided) and weighing 11.56 grams.
